Christmas!!!!

We had a terrific Christmas Eve Candlelight service, with a special Kids' Spot of fun Christmas songs (Jingle Bells, Rudolph and Away in a Manger), followed by a story told by a lady in our church family.
Then we went home, Carla and the girls made chocolate cookies for Santa before going to bed excited for the next day. We also let them open one gift each that night, so they picked a present from G and G Foster - PRINCESS ACCESSORIES!!
This morning we opened our stockings, had a yummy waffle breakfast followed by reading the Luke account of the Christmas story and singing Happy Birthday to Jesus.
It was then on to opening the rest of the presents. We -that is, Matt and Carla, - decided not to give gifts to each other, mostly because there just wasn't anything we really wanted or needed. The girls, however, insisted on getting gifts for Mommy and Daddy and were excited to give them to us.
The girls came away with a nice amount of gifts, but not as excessive as years past, which was good. There were quite a few more gifts for the both of them than there have been in the past, and they're having a blast playing right now.
