A Refreshing Time

Matt and I were able to have a little refreshing overnight getaway to Banff, Alberta this past weekend. The church sent us as a pastor appreciation gift. We left the girls with friends and off we went! It was a little wet and very cloudy, but the mountains were still so beautiful! We went up the gondola at Sulphur Mountain, which was a sacrifice for Matt since he hates heights! That was on Monday. After that, we walked around downtown Banff and checked out a lot of the shops. It was really really great!
On the Sunday, we had Taylor's dedication. Giving her back to the Lord was very special for us, as well as dedicating ourselves to raising her in the way of the Lord, though we recognize that she will have to make the decision whether or not to follow Christ as her Savior herself. We dedicate ourselves to pray for her and raise her in a way pleasing to the Lord, just as we have promised to do for Megan. We missed having family out to share in this special time, though we know they were all thinking of us!
