We went to Taylor's first doctor's appointment since getting home to Alberta. She was weighed, and she is now 9lbs. 3oz. So she's regained her birth weight plus a few ounces, so that's great. They didn't measure her, but I guess we can do that here at home on a long piece of paper.
Our doctor says that she's perfectly healthy, just a little dry skin, and he gave us the name of a cream that is of a more pure make up, so it won't agitate her skin at all. So we'll see how that works when we find it.
Taylor woke up twice in the middle of the night, which is totally unusual. She fed at 12:30am and was so completely awake that she stayed up for two hours, and didn't eat that much either! Then she fed again at about 3:45am. She usually only wakes up once in the night, usually at around 4:30am - 5:00am, so I was more tired today because of all the awake time she had last night.
Megan is getting cabin fever, but it's gotten too cold to go out and play or even to go for a walk; at least for me (Carla) it's too cold. I'm sure Megan would be fine with it.
I've got some house cleaning to do as we have a Worship Committee meeting here at our place tonight, and our two year old has an amazing way of spreading her toys everywhere!
We are really looking forward to next week as my mom is coming out to stay with us for just over a week to see Megan again and to meet little Taylor. It will be nice for the girls to have Grandma (or Ma-Ma as Megan says) here to bond with. And of course absolutely great for me to have my mom here. Grandma gets here on the 17th. We're really excited.
